Introduction

The OTIA III Bridge Delivery Program is a new way of doing business for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), and many of the permitting and data tools that have been developed are unique to this effort. Environmental Excellence Awards

ODOT receives Best Program award for Environmental Excellence from the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).
The agency was recognized for its implementation of Context Sensitive and Sustainable Solutions (CS³) in its OTIA III State Bridge Delivery Program.

ODOT receives the Federal Highway Administration's prestigious "Environmental Excellence Award for Environmental Streamlining".
The award recognizes ODOT’s Bridge Replacement Environmental Stewardship Program, a unique approach to managing the replacement and repair of highway bridges throughout the state.

Subsidies and Programs

Clean Fuel for Bridges - With help from the Oregon Department of Transportation and Oregon Bridge Delivery Partners, the Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority (LRAPA) has received funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to encourage construction contractors to purchase cleaner burning diesel fuel for OTIA III bridge projects.
